Charlie's Angels

The writing of Charlie's Angels is atrocious. I can hardly sit through it. The acting is not great either. And the soundtrack is awful. A bad show, the only thing I like about it is that it was not on NBC because I would feel bad for NBC.

There's no emotion, not much humor, more bones than muscle. It's not provocative, it's not sexy, it's not violent, no clumsy or, not over the top unreal, or hand down realistic. So little emotion is conveyed. Watching this made me realize that emotion is a big part of TV.

It's a bad show. It's not funny, it's not sad, it's not exciting, it's not shocking. But their hair looks great so does the makeup.

The music has got to be the worst thing about this show right after/next to the dialogue.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I could have done a better job than all those professionals who worked on that show. I just think that they good have done a better job executing the whole thing maybe if the circumstances had been different.

Charlie's Angels stars Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor, Ramón Rodríguez and Victor Garber.

Christina Ricci in Pan Am

I find Christina Ricci's performance in Pan Am a bit disappointing. I always thought she was a very talented and smart actress who only played roles that were not cliche. But in Pan Am she seems to be a not-particularly-clever stewardess. I think they should have made her character much more mature.

You would think that Maggie Ryan (Christina Ricci) is the main character but she doesn't even come close. There are maybe three or four other characters that get more screen time than she does and around whom the main storyline revolves.

Revenge

ABC's Revenge is brilliant. Flashbacks (and the soundtrack) are used very efficiently to tell the story. The storytelling follows a very natural flow. It helps that they have put together a group of very talented actors. The writers of NBC's The Event can learn a thing or two about how to use flashbacks to tell a story without losing the viewers.

Pam Am Premiere

I watched the premiere of Pan Am and it kept me interested enough that I am looking forward to watching the second episode. My only complaint would be that Cristina Ricci does not seem to be one of the lead actresses. She is one of the main reasons I wanted to watch this show in the first place. Granted the other members of the cast are very capable actors but yet I want to see more of Cristina I want to know that her character plays an important role in the show. Hopefully this will be the case soon enough.
